"Imagine A Woman"

Imagine a woman who believes it is right and good that she is a woman.

A woman who honors her experience and tells her stories.

Who refuses to carry the sins of others within her body and life.

Imagine a woman who has acknowledged the past's influence on the present.

A woman who has walked through her past.

Who has healed into the present.

Imagine a woman who authors her own life.

A woman who exerts, initiates, and moves on her own behalf.

Who refuses to surrender to her truest self and to her wisest voice.

Imagine a woman who names her own gods.

A woman who believes her body is enough, just as it is.

Who celebrates her body and its rhythms and cycles as an exquisite resource.

Imagine a woman who honors the face of the Goddess in her changing face.

A woman who celebrates the accumulation of her years and her wisdom.

Who refuses to use precious energy disguising the changes in her body and life.

Imagine a woman who values the women in her life.

A woman who sits in circles of women.

Who is reminded of the truth about herself when she forgets.

Imagine yourself as this woman.

"The Leaf"

So, I watched a leaf fall from a tree today. it seemed an eternity: that crazy, topsy-turvy freefall. her brittle body hung in the breeze just enough to preserve and ounce or two of dignity. I couldn't help but feel sad. we both knew what fate had in store for her, and what's worse, we were sharing the moment. she was caught in a downward spiral helplessly fighting gravity. her desperate attempts to take flight, though somewhat were futile, and I was witnessing her fall from grace. I wanted to reach out to her. I wanted to save her. I pictured her tiny frame delicately coming to rest in the palm of my hand, but it was not my place to tempt fate. I was a by-stander, innocent and pure. remorse and remembrance were all I had to offer on this day. very soon, she would be nestled in the bosom of mother earth. I began to cry, and my tear hurried their descent as if to provide her some company. impact. she is dead. broken and lifeless, her body lay still, and then without warning, a gentle wind broke the silence, cradled that leaf and carried her skyward - to dance once again.

"Universal Rx"

No moving parts, no batteries,

No monthly payments and no fees;

Inflation proof, non-taxable,

In fact, it's quite relaxable.

It can't be stolen, won't pollute,

One size fits all, do not dilute.

It uses little energy,

But yields results enormously.

Relieves your tension and your stress

Invigorates your happiness;

Combats depression, makes you beam,

And elevates your self-esteem!

Your circulation it corrects

Without unpleasant side effects.

It is, I think, the perfect drug:

May I prescribe, my friends . . . the hug!

(And, of course, fully returnable!)
